I consider myself to be a pretty open-minded person when it comes to trying new things (such as online dating) but I find it hard to be the one to break the ice...although the people who know me would say I'm lying I am super shy when I first meet someone. But as soon as the ice is broken I let my true self shine through-for better or for worse. So I am looking for someone who can make the first move -be it a phone call or an email or whatever to get my attention. I am also looking for someone who won't try to change me into something that I'm not-I am who I am and that's that. I am close with my family and my circle of friends so I would need someone who understood that. I enjoy listening to oldies when I'm at work and when I'm in the kitchen baking-they make me happy and I love to sing along. Some people would say I'm a bit of an old soul as my favourite movies are usually in black and white but I just love the romance in them...a mysterious look from across a room, a chance encounter, etc. That's what I'm really looking for-romance in a big way-I want to be swept off my feet.
